Tenants of RD Willis can report a repair by calling our office at 0113 34675828 between 9:30 am and 4:30 pm.
We’ll take a brief description of the issue and schedule a repair appointment. For emergency repairs, our goal is to respond within 24 hours, while non-emergency repairs will be arranged within 28 days.
Fire Evacuation Procedure
All RD Willis homes have fire evacuation procedures displayed, typically on a wall or door. Ensure you know what to do in case of a fire. Once a fire starts, it may spread quickly, releasing smoke and toxic fumes. In the event of a fire in your home:
- Raise the alarm to alert others.
- Leave the building as quickly as possible, closing all doors behind you.
- Call 999 to contact the Fire Service.
- Do not re-enter the building to retrieve personal belongings or for any other reason.
- Inform RD Willis as soon as possible.
Your Responsibilities as a tenant
Removal of Rubbish:
Please sort all your household waste and place it in the correct bins. All properties are provided with wheelie bins. Check your collection times. Do not leave rubbish in the street, as this could result in a fine from Leeds City Council. If you need help removing larger items, contact the council on 0113 2224406.
RD Willis provides cookers, fridges, and other white goods. We will repair, maintain, and replace these items. Please look after them, as you may be liable for replacement costs if damage occurs due to misuse.
Pets: Your Tenancy Agreement states that you agree not to bring any pets or animals into your home without prior consent from RD Willis.
Electrical goods:
If you purchase or bring electrical equipment into your home, you are responsible for ensuring that it is safe and in good working condition.
Gardens and yards:
You are responsible for keeping your garden or yard neat and tidy. RD Willis provides a gardening service to help maintain the garden, but it is not responsible for removing rubbish or waste, except for green waste.
